“The Belt and Road” , Develop Overseas Market
In order to deeply integrate into the construction of "The Belt and Road" and open European bus market, Lanzhou Guangtong firmly grasps the biggest development opportunity at present and in the future to make our bus products go abroad at the fastest speed. Based on early mutual in-depth investigation, we decide to acquire and reorganize an European bus manufacturing enterprise- Ikarbus, factory of buses and special vehicles Belgrade.
Ikarbus was founded in 1923 as a state-owned holding enterprise of Serbia, whose former was Yugoslavia. Ikarbus has complete qualification and technology conditions of production of commercial vehicles. It could produce all vehicle models except the passenger car, and it ever produced military aircrafts during the World War II. At present the enterprise is still in the production of Mercedes-benz buses and its own brand buses. However, in recent 10 years Ikarbus has been in serious debt and operating difficulties due to various reasons. Hence, the company has been actively seeking cooperation with Chinese automobile enterprises, and many Chinese enterprises are also competing for cooperation opportunities with Ikarbus.
Under the active coordination of the Chinese ambassador to Serbia, and after many in-depth visits by the two sides, Ikarbus believes that Yinlong is a world leader in electric bus technology and gives full willingness to cooperate. Yinlong Group agreed with that our company took the lead in the acquisition of Ikarbus restructuring. In July 2018, when Li Keqiang, Premier of PRC, attended the "16+1 summit of China & CEEC " in Europe, the Chinese Foreign Ministry listed the memorandum signed by Lanzhou Guangtong and Serbia as the "list of outcomes of the China & CEEC summit". On September 17, 2018, our company in Beijing with the Serbian government signed the " Decision about the Acquisition and Reorganization of Ikarbus Belgrade by Lanzhou Guangtong” , President Aleksandar Vučić of Serbia, Finance Minister, Minister of Energy, Governor of The People's Bank of China, Ambassador to China, and relevant leaders of Chinese Foreign Ministry attended and witnessed the signing ceremony.
